Parisian Dreams

I'm still waiting for my trip to Paris that has been promised to me the day I started learning French. Now my accent has faded, the words forgotten and I'll never buy my vintage Chanel there. Yeah right...when I say I'll do it, I'll do it and this time I'm taking a stroller. In the meantime here are some tips for dressing like a Parisian from legendary model Ines de la Fressange's book, Parisian Chic: A Style Guide. Ten ways to dress like a Parisian. Be sure to catch me looking tres chic while doing my groceries at Target (pronounced Tar-jay, LMBO!).

Click on the image or here to see the original in Lonny Magazine. For those that cannot read the tiny print, read below.

10. Jeans with gem encrusted sandals (Not sneakers)

9. A pencil skirt with ballet flats (not high heels)

8. A sequined sweater with men's trousers (not a skirt)

7. A diamond necklace with a denim shirt, during the day (and not a black dress at night)

6. Loafers with shorts...and even with socks (not with long slacks and no socks)

5. An evening dress with utlra-plain open toed sandals (not with the gem encrusted evening variety)

4. A pearl necklace with a rock & roll t-shirt (not with a simple shift dress)

3. A chiffon print dress with batter biker boots (not with brand new ballet flats)

2. A tux jacket with sneakers (not with femme fatale stilettos)

1. An evening dress with a straw handbag (not with a gold clutch)

Have fun trying these. I will until my trip. It will be good practice!

Besos.
